Baltimore does it again! And by that, I mean another event that makes me so proud to be a Baltimorean. About a month ago, Glen and I came across an awesome shop called For Rent Shoes. For Rent’s owner Daniel Davis, came up with the concept of his store after moving to Baltimore and being dissatisfied with the range of footwear offered in the area. Daniel’s idea to bring more fashion and art to Baltimore is a reoccurring trend that I’m starting to notice happening all around the city. “For Rent Shoes offers sneaker fanatics in and around Baltimore, a shop that delivers exclusive sneakers from some of the top independent, up-and-coming and major brands from around the world. ”
The Four One OH! clan and I were invited to an exclusive event hosted by For Rent Shoes and Roca Patron for the launch of Masters of Material. The event was awesome! It’s always great seeing different creatives around Baltimore in one space. The energy and of course the footwear, was amazing! The event also gave Baltimore the opportunity to be the first on the East Coast to preview Patron’s new brand, Roca, which will not be released to the public until September.
Gourmet Footwear and Melin Brand Headwear was featured during the event and is for sale at For Rent Shoes! Since, I like to reference myself as a walking hat stand, I absolutely loved the Melin Brand Headwear. The premium materials like leather and various animal skins, make for a premium hat experience! Gasp. Scream. Shout. Basically, I need these boots. Usually, when it comes to tall boots I have one consistent problem…. My legs are just too skinny. I have been searching and searching for a style that would fit my leg, and with the help of my stylist friend, she has solved my problem. The Stuart Weitzman Highland Boot is the answer to my prayers. I tried on a pair the other day for fit and almost died right there on the sales floor. These boots are pretty expensive but I like to look at it as a much needed investment. I am currently on the prowl to find a grey pair!! Wish me luck!! Hopefully soon you will be seeing them on the blog. PS. These boots are cut large so order a 1/2 size down.
