Spring at RA Sushi

Celebrate spring at RA Sushi in Harbor East.  RA has introduced some fun and yummy new items to the menu for the spring and summer season.  RA is one of my favorite places to eat in Baltimore and I just found out that they have extended happy hour on Wednesdays from 3pm-midnight!  I’ll definitely be there next week!

Here is a breakdown of the Seasonal Menu:

Red Sea Bream Carpaccio

Sliced Red Seabream and lemon topped with spicy yuzu dressing, organic micro greens, truffle salt and lemon zest.

Red Sea Bream Nigiri

Red Seabream on rice, topped with spicy yuzu dressing and truffle salt.

Tuna California Roll

The classic California Roll topped with a tuna mix of avocado, cucumber, bell pepper and cilantro; finished with togarashi, garlic chips and black pepper soy sauce.

Langostino Strawberry Salad

Langostino, strawberries, cucumber and avocado over arugula; tossed in citrus vinaigrette and served with kiwi wasabi sauce and truffle salt

In addition to these great dishes Ra has also added three new drinks that are a must-try.  Peach Basil Sour, Hot Tropics Margarita and the Pear & Lemon Blossom.  The Hot Tropics Margarita is especially great for those of you that love spicy margaritas!

Hope to catch you at RA!

Dinner Time at Ra Sushi

Ra Sushi is one of my favorite restaurants in Harbor East.  I had never really appreciated sushi until I lived in San Francisco.  When I moved back to Baltimore, I just so happened to stumble into Ra and it was truly love at first bite.  If you aren’t already a regular you will quickly fall in love with the happy hour menu, the amazing drinks and its energizing music.  Ra Sushi added a few more items to the menu that are a must-try!  It’s Friday so you have no excuse not to head down to Harbor East to taste some of these new treats.

My absolute favorite additions to the menu has to be the Chili Garlic Shrimp and the Crunch Yami Roll.  These selections were perfect reflections of the Ra menu, filled with flavor, a little spice and a creative combination of ingredients.

Other additions to the menu include Seared Ahi Tuna, Red Heart Roll and a delicious King Crab Salad.

Just in case you can make it for Happy Hour, my favorite drinks at Ra are the Blue Ginger Martini, Blushing Geisha and the Frozen Bellini! All amazing!!

IMG_9385.JPG  American Brasserie   IMG_9387.JPG During Baltimore restaurant week, I enjoyed the most amazing meal at B&O American Brasserie.  By amazing, I mean from the appetizers to desert and not to mention  the service was well matched.  My friend, Tierra, treated me for my birthday and I must admit this was by far my most favorite present!!!  To begin our meal, we started with Roasted Figs and Brussel Sprouts.  Yum!  This was the first time I have ever had Roasted Figs and they were just oozing with flavor complimented by goat cheese and lamb-bacon.  The Brussel Sprouts were cooked with bacon lardons and a mustard creme topped with thin slices of granny smith apples.  Both appetizers were a delightful treat and even if you want to try this place and not order tons of food, you can just try these two appetizers with a great glass of wine! For the main course, I enjoyed a perfectly cooked butchers steak and white truffle percorino fries.  Simply amazing.  Desert was the most perfect ending.  (Side note, I’m not a desert person)  I loved the expresso cheesecake, I was the perfect amount and I ate every last drop.  B&O American Brasserie was probably the most perfect dining experience I have had in a long time!  The hostess was very nice.  I left my phone in the car and she ran outside to get it for me.  The waiter was very attentive and recommended all of our choices that night.  He also gave me a great champagne cocktail with pear juice, which was amazeballs. B&O American Brasserie is located at: 2 North Charles Street, Baltimore MD 21201
