Short Denim Overalls

I love Baltimore.  Our oldest communities have so much charm about them.  I especially love the Bolton Hill neighborhood because I love brownstones.  When the owners are able to keep most of the original parts of the house, it’s simply amazing.  Bolton Hill is especially great for finding beautiful doors.  Like the one pictures here.  You could walk around this neighborhood and just take pictures of the original doors.  This door looks like it still has its original hardware and I love it!

Now on to my outfit, I’m wearing the cutest denim short overalls that I scored from H&M.  The overalls are actually from the teen collection.  Lol.  But the largest size fits me perfectly.  You can’t beat the $22 price tag either.  Like most overalls, they are just as easy to style as a pair of jeans.  My newest fedora was also scored at H&M.  The light color is perfect for summer so I know I will be getting plenty of wear from this hat!

Dinner at Wit & Wisdom

Have you ever been to a place that never ceases to amaze you?!  For me, that is Four Season’s Wit & Wisdom in Baltimore.  The atmosphere, the staff, and the menu, all make this place a perfect recipe for the ultimate go-to for almost anything food/cocktail related.  I had such a great experience at Wit that I decided to make my post a two-part story!  Yes, Wit & Wisdom is that wonderful!

So  I guess you are wondering about the beautiful and tasty food pics, they are the:

Looking for something lighter… Great News….

Wit & Wisdom will offer half off all bottles of Champagne from 10:00 pm to 12:00 midnight every night in the bar at Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore.

Inspired by Master Sommelier Laura Maniec’s philosophy at Corkbuzz Wine Studio in New York – that everyone should be able to drink Champagne regularly – “The general perception of Champagne is that it’s only for special occasions,” says Julie Dalton, lead sommelier at Wit & Wisdom. “When people refer to their ‘everyday wine’ it usually means something more affordable than a ‘special occasion’ wine. There’s no reason why Champagne can’t be enjoyed more often. It’s much more diverse than is often realized, and I’m hopeful that this initiative will encourage guests to explore Champagnes outside of their comfort zone and treat them like they would any other wine by trying different regions and styles.”

Making Champagne more approachable to the public also means serving it in a more casual way, which is why Wit & Wisdom is offering this tasting experience at the bar only.

Reservations are not required.

After hearing about this restaurant on numerous occasions, I finally had a chance to visit The Land of Kush in Baltimore over the weekend.  The Land of Kush is a vegan restaurant with an awesome selection of food that even a non-vegetarian like me would enjoy!  As usual, I asked about their best dishes then ordered them as suggested.  Ribs, macaroni & cheese, collard greens and their house lemonade, I must stress, is a great introduction to the restaurant.  The food was well-seasoned and the lemonade was simply amazing.

While I enjoyed the food thoroughly, I would say the only thing that was missing was a family environment.  For some reason, I expected a place more like Cheers, where everyone knows your name.  A place where you become a regular and they know exactly what you want before you do.  The vibe seemed more like a carry out spot.  But then again, maybe that is what they are going for… Well, until next time, The Land of Kush, I will be back to try those lentil burgers!!
