Baltimore to New York

Baltimore to New York

So I moved to New York… dun dun dun.  It felt like a big deal at first, but after being here for a couple of weeks now, I have started to get my groove back.  There are however two things at the top of my list that I need to cross up ASAP.  The first is to find a permanent apartment and the second is to find a New York based photographer to work with on my blog.  While I would love to have my Baltimore photo buddy come here everyday, it is just not realistic 🙁  I miss you already Glen…

I have lived in New York before, it was nearly six years ago, and boy have things changed.  Rent is almost 210% higher and Harlem doesn’t at all look the same.  One thing that I never had the chance to experience while I lived in New York is being a TOURIST.  I plan to take some time to really tour this city which means, I will hopefully continue to improve on my photography skills.  This weekend in fact, I plan to bike across the Brooklyn Bridge and visit Ground Zero.  What is even better?!? I plan to keep a video/photo diary to share with you guys.

Stay tuned.

Fall In Love With Gap

If you haven’t stopped into the Gap lately, you are missing out!  Gap has some great monochromatic linen/cotton looks that are perfect for summer.  I just so happen to come across this one while browsing and found a great assortment of colors to choose from.  Pink, green, yellow, blue and more amazing colors are offered and would great either paired up or mixed up.

Short Denim Overalls

I love Baltimore.  Our oldest communities have so much charm about them.  I especially love the Bolton Hill neighborhood because I love brownstones.  When the owners are able to keep most of the original parts of the house, it’s simply amazing.  Bolton Hill is especially great for finding beautiful doors.  Like the one pictures here.  You could walk around this neighborhood and just take pictures of the original doors.  This door looks like it still has its original hardware and I love it!

Now on to my outfit, I’m wearing the cutest denim short overalls that I scored from H&M.  The overalls are actually from the teen collection.  Lol.  But the largest size fits me perfectly.  You can’t beat the $22 price tag either.  Like most overalls, they are just as easy to style as a pair of jeans.  My newest fedora was also scored at H&M.  The light color is perfect for summer so I know I will be getting plenty of wear from this hat!
