Revel Atlantic City has some amazing food. Amada, one of my favorite tapas restaurants is just one of my favorite spots. The happy hour is of course, the best time to go and you can treat yourself to an awesome array of cheese, shrimp and white sangria. The view(which, I did not get a chance to take a pic of) is amazing. There is not a bad seat in the house and you can see the Atlantic City pier from just about every angle.
The food… Well it is excellent! Well prepared, great ingredients and great flavors. I just can’t get enough of this place. Below, I recommend a couple of things from their Happy Hour Tapas Menu. Happy Hour is Sunday through Friday 5pm – 7pm in the Bar & Lounge Area Only… ENJOY!
What I recommend:
Idiazabal (Cheese with Honey and Apples)// Queso Con Miel (Cheese Plate) // Gambas (Sausage Dish)// Pimientos De Padron // White Sangria
Revel Atlantic City : Dinner at Amada
By far the best sushi in Baltimore, is available at Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Restaurant in Harbor East. The Lakanilau Roll made with Wagyu Beef , Snow Crab , Tempura Asparagus, Avocado, Sesame Miso, and Truffled Greens is to DIE FOR! This roll is not available on the happy hour menu but when something tastes this good, the price is worth it! The roll is priced at $13 so if you go during happy hour you can add an additional roll for just $6.
Roy’s happy hour is called Aloha Hour. If you can make the happy hour between 4:30 to 6:30, I would suggests getting the Tempura-Crusted Ahi Roll. This roll is also pretty amazing and you can’t beat the $6 price. Side note (*** the sushi chef is probably the best in the city. She can make rolls from just about anything, and it always tastes out of this world) Lastly, I would like to suggests the Chocolate Souffle!!! I’m not even a desert person and this souffle puts me in a spell every time. It is amazing, simple, and enough to share. The chocolate is rich, the raspberry puree compliments the flavors and the chocolate shavings and vanilla ice cream just perfectly completes everything.
If you are in town or live in town, check out Roy’s Aloha Hour… you won’t be disappointed!

Good Eats in Baltimore: Say “Hello” to By Degrees Cafe Located in Harbor East, this somewhat new addition to Baltimore is refreshing! Very quaint and equipped with wifi, this cafe is a great getaway for good food with quality ingredients.
If finding parking is holding you back… don’t worry, By Degrees Cafe offers free parking for its’ customers on the side of the building! Like, most Downtown frequenters, I just assumed there was no parking and payed the meter located on the other side of the street. (Bummer!)
I started out with an ily Cappuccino. I must admit it was a bit bitter for my taste but once I added some sugar, it was quite tasty. The menu was a bit intimidating but the wait staff walked me through all the most popular dishes. After much contemplating, I decided to get the Smoked Gouda Flatbread. The waiter assured me you can’t go wrong with any of the flatbreads on the menu. The flatbread was a very interesting twist on pizza, with rich ingredients and and great flavor!
Next, Glen (glenfordnunez.com) and I enjoyed the Fried Goat Cheese Salad. The salad was awesome! As a cheese lover, I especially enjoyed the fried goat cheese balls in the salad. The pieces of dates and bacon, infused an awesome savory and sweet addition to the salad. If I had room for desert, I certainly would have indulged in that as well! Maybe, next time I’ll try the Caramel Bread Pudding.
Check out the pictures below, of my awesome food at By Degrees Cafe! Try them out next time you are Downtown!
Until Next Time … See you around the 410… Nom Nom Nom
