Keeping it Natural at NY Fashion Week
I’ve been seeing the fresh-face look for some time now, but it hasn’t necessarily been about using less makeup- only appearing as though you have. Most of the designers who showed during Fashion Week opted for beauty looks that were all about treating the skin and laying off the heavy palettes by using as few products as possible.
Backstage at the shows, makeup artists enjoyed using simple beauty regimens like moisturizer. Yes, you have read it correctly, moisturizer! Some other major designers required models to receive only two-minute preshow facials.
It’s no doubt that fall and spring will be about using the right products to help maintain your natural glow. Fashion Week gave me a little over 7 days full of natural beauty inspiration and so I leave you with an essential, no fail beauty supply shopping list. Head over to your nearest Walgreens so you can start treating your skin the way it should be treated…
For treating your skin, Botanics & No7 does it right! These products provide the skin with an instant pick-me-up by promoting a brighter and more radiant complexion that literally last all day. Interchange these products in your morning routine!
- Botanics, All Bright Radiance Balm
- Botanics, Triple Age Facial Oil Serum
- No7 Protect and Perfect Intense Serum Tube (a perfect day or night cream)
I especially love the Botanics, Triple Age Facial Oil Serum. I have normal skin, so I was a little afraid to add any extra oil to my skin but I was willing to give it a try. I love to use the serum under my foundation, paired with my beauty blender; my skin looks smooth, amazing and poreless. I have never seen my skin more perfect!
Even with natural looks you can use color but the key is to stay away from aggressive applications. Just a dab or two will go a long way…trust me!
Did I mention these products are all available at your local Walgreens? That’s right, get over there and start perfecting your natural glow!
